I did the chocolate thing last year, the usual flowers, also the teddy bear, and the usual cards, did the dinner; however, this year I am kind of stuck.
What are good valentine day gifts apart from the usual flowers?
I would say, dress up nicely, go to a fancy, romantic resteraunt. Maybe do the whole flowers, and candy, teddy bear thing, maybe go for a walk on the beach, if you%26#039;re near one, or write a romantic song, if you can sing. write, or play guitar.

Lol, i think they are buying it for Valentines day some people actually consider it a holiday, i don%26#039;t believe in those things because i feel like it%26#039;s the business (retail, reataurants, floral shops, etc.) that benefit from it.

flowers die....the best thing my boyfriend now my hubby ever did was write a notes.....to me on toilet paper so i would have something to read in the bathroom

Hi im getting married in 2 weeks and I would really need help of people who have married before. after the meal how do I go about giving out the presents to the ushers,bridemaids pagebboys and flowers to the mums and nanas. I was only 10 when I was a bridesmaidf and I can remember being called out after the meal, but I dont know how to go about it. As I dont have a clue do just stand up and go and get them then give them out or do the hotel staff bring them over to us to give out as Im not too sure what I do.

At weddings I have been to (I%26#039;m a wedding photographer!), the gifts and flowers are usually given out during the grooms speech. He says the name of the person and thanks them and the bride hands the gift over (making it a combined action by the bride and groom as a couple).

Reply:I would give your gifts at the rehersal dinner. This way you are not taking away from your special day. It will be hectic as it is and this way this is one less thing you have to worry about. As for the flowers you should deffently present them to the mums and nanas before the wedding. Once the reception starts you are going to be busy with pictures, dancing and all the other craziness. I think by doing this all before hand will relieve you of some stress.

Reply:at my daughters wedding the gifts and flowers was given to people at the end of the best mans speech ....he asked myself (brides mum) and the grooms mum to come to the little stage that was there ..the bride and groom said a few words to us then best man invited the brides maids then ushers to follow suit the grooms father was best man but if you have fathers and grandparents you can ask the same of them....i hope that is of some help hun, but i don%26#039;t think there is any hard and fast rules about it ....the gifts and flowers was taken to the hotel the night before and the staff brought them in discreetly ....hope you have a wonderful day hun and the sun shines for you
