I did the chocolate thing last year, the usual flowers, also the teddy bear, and the usual cards, did the dinner; however, this year I am kind of stuck.
What are good valentine day gifts apart from the usual flowers?
I would say, dress up nicely, go to a fancy, romantic resteraunt. Maybe do the whole flowers, and candy, teddy bear thing, maybe go for a walk on the beach, if you%26#039;re near one, or write a romantic song, if you can sing. write, or play guitar.

Lol, i think they are buying it for Valentines day some people actually consider it a holiday, i don%26#039;t believe in those things because i feel like it%26#039;s the business (retail, reataurants, floral shops, etc.) that benefit from it.

Hi im getting married in 2 weeks and I would really need help of people who have married before. after the meal how do I go about giving out the presents to the ushers,bridemaids pagebboys and flowers to the mums and nanas. I was only 10 when I was a bridesmaidf and I can remember being called out after the meal, but I dont know how to go about it. As I dont have a clue do just stand up and go and get them then give them out or do the hotel staff bring them over to us to give out as Im not too sure what I do.

As for the flowers you should deffently present them to the mums and nanas before the wedding. Once the reception starts you are going to be busy with pictures, dancing and all the other craziness. I think by doing this all before hand will relieve you of some stress.

We both contribute equally but in different areas. I also pay for my fair share of drinks if we go to the pub.

My son%26#039;s great-grandfather (his daddy%26#039;s grandpa) just passed away. My son%26#039;s dad and I get along wonderfully, and we love each other. He was extremely close to his grandfather (he was raised by his grandparents), and my son had been around him a little. The issue I%26#039;m having is that I live in the South and he (son%26#039;s dad) and his family live up North(and most of the family, namely his sister, can%26#039;t stand me). I don%26#039;t know what%26#039;s appropriate to send. I really don%26#039;t want to offend anyone or make things worse, when things are already not going well. Should I (and my family) send flowers, a care package (food, gift certificates, plates, utensils...), sympathy gift...??????? Does anyone have any ideas or help here?????? It would be greatly appreciated!

I%26#039;m just curiouse to know. I don%26#039;t like it because that and Valentines day are the only times i get flowers.
So now i asociate flowers with a fight. I would much rather the guy just tell me how sorry he is and show me through kindness rather then gifts and flowers. I just feel like he is trying to buy my forgiveness, and butter me up so he can avoide the issue and it will be all over. And if it happens again he thinks he can cover it up by buying more flowers, but then never discussing the problem and trying to change it.

I live in the states, my best friend lives in Sweden. If I want to send flowers or gifts to my best friend in Sweden, how do I do that? I do speak some swedish and I am going there to live soon......but I want to send my friend some flowers for her Birthday and I don%26#039;t know how to do it from here to out of the country.........does someone know how I do this? thanks
